This week marks the festival of 9 days of Navaratri, when Hindu’s invoke the the universal mother, in her form as “Durga.” This year the festival falls from October 15th to 23rd.Today is the beginning of Navaratri, the nine nights of celebration when we invoke the the universal mother, in her form as “Durga.” On the first three days, the Mother is invoked as powerful force called Durga in order to destroy all our impurities, vices and defects.

The next three days, the Mother is adored as a giver of spiritual wealth, Lakshmi, who is considered to have the power of bestowing on her devotees the inexhaustible wealth. The final set of three days is spent in honouring the mother as the goddess of wisdom, Saraswati. In order have all-round success in life, we need the blessings of all three aspects of the divine mother; hence, the honouring of the divine mother for nine nights. In honour of the festival this year I have put together some instructions for the celebration of Navaratri together with a series of rituals and mantras for the members on the membership site. So come on and join us in the celebration of Navaratri.
