How to Relax with Yoga

In Day 12 of our 30 Day Yoga Challenge I am going to share with you my favourite restorative yoga poses for relaxation and stress relief. These 3 restorative yoga poses would be ideal to do before yoga nidra to prepare your body for deep relaxation. This yoga relaxation video is ideal for stress relief and anxiety.

The three relaxing restorative yoga poses for deep relaxation that I am going to show you today start with restorative yoga stand using yoga bolsters, a yoga strap and yoga blocks. This restorative yoga pose will access the deeper tissues of your psoas and help you to release tight hips, groin, knees and back, but also anxiety, menstrual cramps, exhaustion and immunity issues. Secondly we will do legs up the wall for relaxation and stress relief. This pose is deeply calming for your body and your mind. Finally my favourite restorative yoga pose is child´s pose. This pose with a yoga bolster will allow you to access your parasympathetic nervous system and is incredibly relaxing.

If you are looking for the best yoga poses for relaxation then look no further. Today I am going to share with you my three favourite restorative yoga poses for relaxation.
It is really hard to choose three so I am going to point you to some yoga classes that you can go do after I show you these classes.
If you are a member, it was super hard for me to choose from the many restorative yoga classes we have in our membership community ranging from 20 minutes to 2 hours, but I settled on Restorative Yoga for Digestion because it is one that I turn to again and again to create ease in my belly and solar plexus:

If you are not a member, it was also super difficult for me to choose from our playlist of almost 20 restorative yoga videos, but I landed on Restorative Yoga without Effort: Click Here

Ok, now for my 3 favourite restorative yoga poses for relaxation:

#3 Restorative Shoulder Stand
I just love the way this pose gets deep into my psoas. When your psoas is short and tight you can experience tightness in your hips, groin, knees and back, but also anxiety, menstrual cramps, exhaustion and immunity issues.

#2 Legs up the Wall
Legs up the wall pose is an incredibly restorative yoga pose that will allow both your mind and body to relax relieving stress.

#1 Child´s Pose
My most beloved restorative yoga pose for relaxation is child´s pose. This pose will stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system and quiet your mind. This restorative yoga pose is deeply calming.

If you made it all the way to the end of the video put, ¨I feel so relaxed¨ in the comments.
