Probiotic Help Alleviate Anxiety?

Last week when I had the opportunity to meet Rebecca Llewellyn from BioK, the world leader in probiotics, the main question I wanted to ask her was:

Can taking a probiotic help to alleviate anxiety?

Your vagus nerve connects directly from your gut to your brain. Your gut communicates directly with your brain. The microbes in your gut have a huge role in pretty much everything that happens in your body including your mood. The microbes produce your happy hormones including dopamine and serotonin. If you don´t have the right microbes making the hormones in your gut, then you will lack those hormones going to your brain, to help you feel happy and good.

Make sure you are feeding your gut with a probiotic, probiotic and prebiotic foods. Help your gut to establish itself and thrive. Junk food and refined processed foods create bacteria that will not help you. Probiotic supplements, probiotic foods like fermented foods and fibrous foods.

Let us know in the comments if you would like Rebecca and I to get together to do a food demo for you 🙂
